| Description | when start A3 with "ardour3" it seems ok, an existing session runs, a new one creates. when use "Ardour_x86-3.0alpha10_10000-dbg/bin/ardour3 -d" it always crash. could you please help me to unserstand what is missing or to erase in the machine ? have read the debug output a few times, but can't make my mind ! this output is downthere, thanks in advance, fred | ||||

Have you tried running jackd with a larger timeout, with something like jackd -t 9999 ... ? |

in addition, do not run jack in realtime mode when trying to debug ardour. its generally impossible to do. ardour is being disconnected from JACK because its too slow (thanks to the debugger, mostly). |

It's ok if jackd -t9999. Run Jack in no real time gives many crack noises. So you can close this entry, I think. Could you explain please what this parameter in Jack (-t) really do ? |

It sets the amount of time that jackd will wait for a client before kicking it out. |
