This doesn't look too good...

Message from syslogd@f at Jul 16 19:54:16 ...
kernel:[ 4751.740600] Uhhuh. NMI received for unknown reason a1 on CPU 0.

Message from syslogd@f at Jul 16 19:54:16 ...
kernel:[ 4751.740606] You have some hardware problem, likely on the PCI bus.

Message from syslogd@f at Jul 16 19:54:16 ...
kernel:[ 4751.740608] Dazed and confused, but trying to continue

Do you ever see that at other times?

this is not an ardour error. there is no crash in ardour, and the backtrace shows ardour to be operating normally.

the kernel is telling you what is happening: "You have some hardware problem, likely on the PCI bus." i don't think that we know what is it is.

your system is not behaving the way the kernel expects. there's not a lot more to say in this context.

hum, not sure about that, but these 3 kernel messages comes at 'run' time everytime. I remember they appears at the very beginnning, before the first GUI when you choose the new or existing session

I thought it was because it's not a real time kernel and real time is activated in QJack... Do you think it's possible ?

Do you please have an advice of where I can search this PCI problem thing ?
Could it be some IRQ priority pb because the magic script not runs because no RT kernel ? All I can find on www is about PCI modems stuff like pci-config

By the way, have REdiscovered the right pannel (regions/tracks&busses/etc..) and it rocks like all the rest ! Thanks again and again for this good job !

At this time the only detail that is boring here is the MIDI output pannel that always have to resize to be able to see the green connect points

What distribution are you running? Probably best to ask around any distribution forums / mailing lists.
