Confirmed in A2 and A3.

In A3, there is an option in the advanced section of the export dialog to export with or without fades. In this context, "fades" includes region gain. I've modified the GUI label to clarify this. Perhaps region gain should always be included in export ... any thoughts?

With regards to normalised regions, I would expect to get what I see. So if a region looks as loud as it can get I would expect an export of that region to be exactly the same.

If I've imported a file, trimmed the resulting regions ends, for example, and then exported that region I wouldn't expect the export to be the region before it was trimmed. That's not how the region looks.

The same, I think, is true for normalising.

So, if we apply region gain on export, should region fade in/outs also be exported?

they should, and i believe that in a2 they already are.

this is a fix still waiting in the queue of 100-200 2.X commits that need to be applied to 3.X

Well, sort of. The default position is still to export without gain applied, this feels wrong. Maybe the solution is to have the default export option to apply fades and gain and then allow the user to select no fades and gain if that is what they want.

as of rev 10882, "with fades + gain" is the now the default for region export.
