please define precisely what you mean by "region's fade in/out" since there are at least a couple of interpretations of this (which is in itself a problem in ardour)

Hi Paul,

Sorry for my poor english.

I mean fade in/out like on the attached image.

Is it clearer now?

Thanks,

Bye

here, i open up a new session, crate stereo track and import some audio into it(via right-click context).cutting the region, so that it is about 4 sec. long and removing the rest (everything right from the cut in the timeline).
than creating long fade in/out (they don't overlap, but if they overlap behavior is the same) and rightclicking on the region, choosing the export region funktion, letting ardour to do a default export. (the same behavior if i do export to 44.1kHz)
listening to the file with aqualung or alsaplayer, there is no fade in/out into it.
this is all not happening if i export a range, or that 4 seconds session via menu -session-export function, in that case exported files are ok and they contain the fade in/out.

cheers,
doc

Yes. Using 2.0 SVN 5992, exported regions still do not have region fades applied.

I've tested this several times with recent 2.X, and I cannot reproduce the issue.

if i use the 'bounce' function from region sub menu, the fades are applied, but when using the 'export' function, the fade is not applied.

also, if i use the main menu ->session->export->export selected regions to audiofile...fade in/out are not applied in the resulting file.
