| Description | -start an ardour2 session (in the moment i am not able to create a new one, see 0002013) -press 'alt+i' import a peace of audio, in my case about 4 sec's long, import 'as new track' -do this one more time with the same peace of audio, 'as new track' - a new track will be generated, including the peace of audio twice time. -do this again results in another track including the same peace of audio 3 times. ... -now i have 3 tracks with the same name, the first including the peace of audio once, the second twice and the third, 3 times. .... -save, close and reopen the session -a log window appears, saying that the connections cannot be made (as we expect...) -the session loads, but now i have 3 tracks, every one including a peace of audio 3 times. cheers, doc | ||||

this changed a little bit... importing works the same way as i described before, but in the moment if i save, close and try to reopen the session, there is a 'loading error' window appearing, saying: 'AudioEngine: cannot register port "Blub/in 1": a port with this name already exists: check for duplicated track/bus names. Click the OK button to try again.' but if i click 'ok' i can try another time, ending with the same error, but the session won't be loaded. so in short - in the moment, it is not possible to reopen a session which is containing two or more tracks with the same name. cheers, doc |

The track name behaviour has been fixed earlier. Concatenating the imported file together with the previous region has been fixed in 3059. Please test. |
