as explained by Jesse; cleanup sources only acts upon audio files that are not contained in any playlist (active or inactive) with eight tracks create a new playlist for track 1, then Cleanup unused removes audio files for all eight. |

after the Cleanup; all entries is Region list are removed. however, there were two record passes. the cleanup moved *-1.wav to dead_sounds/ but left *-2.wav in sounds/ even though there aren't any regions entries for *-2.wav. and *-2.wav may not be associated with any Playlists. I guess they must be but then Cleanup shouldn't have removed their Regions List entries. |

The feature removes stuff that is still used. This happened to me with a frozen track. The feature can also crash Ardour: Remove regions from the region list using <shift> click (or was ist <ctrl> click?). Then call cleanup: segfault. |

This bug is rather old. There are other issues with this feature that are being discussed elsewhere. Thus, I'm marking it resolved. |
