Summary0002785: Multichannel tracks have stereo panners only
DescriptionIf a track has more than two channels, the mixer window shows the two stereo panners only, and not the 2d-panners, as i would expect.
I expected tha a track with m Inputs and n Outputs should have m 2d-panners (each one having n "pucks")

afaik, the type of panner depends on the number of *outputs* of a track. the thing you are selecting in the "new track" dialog is the number of *inputs* or channels.

hence, if your master bus is stereo and you have selected "auto-connect to master bus", each new track will get 2 outs and a stereo panner.

can you reproduce this behaviour on sessions with more than 2 channels in the master? that works for me. please comment.

nettings, you are absolutely right. i obviously misunderstood the input/output convept of tracks/buses. i tried it and it works as expected now.
However I am not sure how the 2D panner is to be used, but I'll ask for that in IRC.

This bug can be marked as resolved.
