| Description | PAST BEHAVIOR In the past if you double clicked on the piano roll vertical scroll box it would automatically vertically center the view of current MIDI notes and also would perform a zoom extents based on the height of all the MIDI notes present in that MIDI region. I thought this was very useful. This developed an issue at some point and I made a bug report about this a while back. 0009861 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CURRENT BEHAVIOR I noticed in 9.x that this double click behavior has now been changed. -The first time you double click on this vertical scroll box it now performs a zoom extents of the entire piano roll vertical keyboard height. This could have benefits as well, allowing user to see the entire vertical keyboard. -While in this zoomed out entire piano roll height view, if you double click on the vertical scroll box again, it performs the PAST BEHAVIOR I mentioned above (centering + zoom extent based on height of all the MIDI notes drawn in region) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As mentioned, I think both behaviors can be very useful. The CURRENT BEHAVIOR does cover both but now with an extra step to achieve PAST BEHAVIOR. I was wondering if anyone would find it useful/ would consider to add the PAST BEHAVIOR back as well? So again there are two behaviors -PAST BEHAVIOR -CURRENT BEHAVIOR One would be assigned -Double click of Left Mouse Button The other would be assigned to either -Double click of Mouse Scroll Wheel Button or if that is not agree with then maybe -CTRL + Double click of Left Mouse Button I do not think that I would get a say in which behavior I would like assigned to the "Double click of Left Mouse Button" so developers would have to decide which BEHAVIOR would be more commonly used. If not then this suggestion can be closed. Thank You | ||||
