I think, this global settings are ignored when using templates. It maybe ok, when this settings persist in the global settings, but it must also used for templates. Otherwise, the logic for global settings is wrong? |

These settings are not part of the session itself. GUI settings, visible windows and their position are in a file called "instant.xml". There are two of them. One user-specific in $HOME/.config/ardour4/instant.xml (read first) and one in every session folder (read after that). Session-templates do not include that. It seems easy enough to add this a new feature, but it's one of those "It's simple. Just copy a file, what could possibly go wrong?!" famous last words things :) For the time being, an alternative solution is to use "Save-As" with "Newly saved session should be empty" in Ardour 4.1. That produces a fully fledged session including GUI settings and more. (Also sounds easy and it took quite some time and effort to get this right.) |

Thanxs for your explanation. But I think, it's not a feature-request, but a correction of loading the gui-global-settings. Therefore, I think, it's better to let it here as bug-report. |
