| Description | When choosing a default set of MIDI bindings for an external controller, Ardour seems to write a faulty configuration file, so that it doesn't remember the bindings the next time it launches. This happens every time, independent of which of the default bindings have been chosen. | ||||
| Additional Information | When changing the configuration, Ardour saves the following to ~/.config/ardour3/ardour.rc: <Protocol name="Generic MIDI" feedback="0" feedback-interval="10000" binding="Korg nanoKONTROL2 With Master" active="yes"> <Controls/> </Protocol> After restarting Ardour, however, it shifts to "Reset All" in the MIDI bindings window, and the "binding" parameter of the Protocol tag is removed. This happens both on Trisquel 5.0 and 6.0, the latter of which is more or less equivalent to recent versions of Ubuntu in terms of status of packages. | ||||

Same issue. A bit of a pain to constantly reload. Would be nice to see it fixed, hence it is now sponsored ;). |
