| Description | I always have to stop and think when I nudge anything what 'forwards' and 'backwards' actually mean, and even then I still occasionally get it wrong. I propose re-wording these to 'later' and 'earlier' respectively, to reduce both the ambiguity and the load on my brain (easily overloaded though it is). | ||||

Thanks cth103! However, I'm not personally completely convinced now that 'earlier' and 'later' are improvements when referring to the playhead. For some reason, 'forwards' and 'backwards' make more sense to me when applied to the playhead (maybe because fast-forward has always had a definite meaning): it's thinking of moving regions &c. along the timeline I find confusing. Also, when moving anything forwards/backwards to grid/transient/mark/whatever, I think maybe 'next'/'previous' would be clearer than either 'forwards'/'backwards' or 'later'/'earlier'. Thoughts? |
