Whilst there still isn't a separate icon just for 'Clear' on MIDI automation tracks under 7155, you can right-click in the icon area of a MIDI automation control strip which reveals a 'clear' option but its not much use as it doesn't work atm. |

Final part in my MIDI auto bug sponsorship triad that I want to sooner see the kinda MIDI controller automation functionality I'd expect to see for the beta. I'm also going to buy at least one Ardour t-shirt when this gets fixed to spread the gospel with "Don't give up Paul!" Wrote in big red letters on the back but you'll need to point me and others to the link to buy such a thing straight from the las himself! :D |

I'm also going to make a decent sized donation and/or subscribe to Ardour when 3.0 gets released and I can get an OSX binary for it btw |

More OT is that if you right-click in the icon area of a MIDI automation control strip and choose 'clear' that is still broke under current builds. If that worked, we wouldn't necessarily need a dedicated 'clear' icon as per the audio tracks but it might be better for the GUI consistency if we did? |

It seems the "clear" button has been removed from A3 at some stage (for both audio and MIDI tracks). Do you think it is useful? SVN@7523 fixes the non-working Clear option in the menu. |

Clear seems to be working for both audio and MIDI automation tracks now- thanks! No, I don't think there is any need for a dedicated 'clear' icon on each track as its probably not something people will use that much and accessing it where it is now is only an extra click away. I'll wait a few days before paying my sponsorship for this if thats OK just in case you or Paul has a chance to resolve either of my other two sponsored issues relating to automation over the weekend so I can pay them off in one go (the ones that do get fixed). Speaking of which, are there any reasons why we couldn't see http://tracker.ardour.org/view.php?id=3367 implemented? It seems entirely logical to me that MIDI and Audio automation tracks should operate the same as far as possible but I could be missing something? |
