There is at least one more visual indication that strip silence needs, namely a line across the waveform to show the current threshold level against the waveform. |

I think the time-consuming bit is the creation / add of the new regions, which probably means that Editor::apply_filter needs to be able to report progress, and someone needs to listen. |
