| Description | This is a tough one. Ardour is obviously a great app with amazing features. And I admit I'm a relatively new user. But I've used several other audio editing/recording apps and find myself constantly struggling with the most basic tools like zooming and selecting ranges to cut, delete, etc. It seems like I'm always in the wrong "mode" (Zoom, Object, Range, Gain) and am constantly zooming when I wanted to select, etc. Maybe taking a poll of experienced users would provide more usability insights. usability will be one the most important priorities post-2.0. there has been a lot of discussion about this on IRC, and there will be more. feel free to hypothesize on why your current mouse mode appears non-obvious or easily forgotten, as well as anything else. |
