Summary | 0009959: Playhead locked/snaps to ±336-sample increments all of a sudden...
Description | All of a sudden I was getting some (more) GUI/visual glitches, and my playhead now refuses to slide smoothly and instead is stuck at moving in ±336-sample increments for some unknown reason.
Steps To Reproduce | I was using the following settings and doing the following things before it happened, which may or may not reproduce it or help to explain what happened: • Nudging. • Turning Snap on/off. • Setting "No Grid" next to it. • Turning on/off "Move relevant automation when audio regions are moved". • Selecting regions across multiple tracks (±5) and first: - Sliding them around. - Then nudging the group forwards once (by 3804 samples) with the > nudge button. - Then undoing the nudge (cmd-z). - Then redoing the nudge (Edit -> Redo...). -At that point the problem began.
Additional Information | This might be something super simple I'm not seeing? If so, then sorry. I thought it might be some weird glitch with a specific plugin or track, so I erased everything except one track and one source, and STILL the problem remains. I've uploaded my now-blank project for inspection (±5mb) to my MediaFire account, as uploading it here exceeded the 2mb limitation: https://www.mediafire.com/file/pb5lj4kdnmuybcq/I+-+V+(The+Sun+Wakes+Us).zip/file

I just fixed it! Somehow under Session -> Properties -> Misc -> Miscellaneous Options... -it was toggled from "Audio (wallclock) time" to -> "Musical (beats) time", which is NOT something I did directly, so something else I did must have made Ardour toggle it on automatically/without my knowledge. Hmm... It's at least fixed though, so I'm happy. : ) |
