| Description | @x42 I could find no other place to report x42 plugin bugs. I hope this is OK to post here. x42 IR Convolver is creating audio crackles after the session is reloaded. It works fine on initial installation of plug-in. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Create session. 2. add IR Convolver to Master 3. Select IR to use 4. Add audio track or MIDI 5. Playback MIDI or Audio. Note that there is no crackle. 6. Quit Ardour session. You must QUIT Ardour then reload Ardour. Closing and reopening within ardour does not recreate issue. 7. Reopen 8. Play 9 Notice crackle , only when audio is passing through. | ||||

Plugin bug reports would go https://github.com/x42/zconvo.lv2/issues, then again it looks like an issue with Arodur! I can load your session and play it just fine here. no crackles in Ardour 9/git. but Ardour 8.12 does indeed crackle.. and segfault! |

Thanks for finding this! It was indeed a bug on x42-convolver. A race condition that can happen when the plugin is activated immediately after configuring it. This can happen during state restore and it is more likely to happen with optimized builds on a fast machine.. Fixed in x42-convolver v0.7.1-3-gc6b88d5 (available at https://x42-plugins.com/x42/x42-zconvolver) I have scheduled a [0.]7.2 release of the plugin |
