Summary | 0009869: Cannot click on routing grid for a new track in big project
Description | I have a big template with a lot of audio/MIDI tracks (100+ I think). When I try creating a new track after some time, it doesn't root to Master, and clicking on the routing grid doesn't change anything (I cannot fill in the squares by clicking them - this is unresponsive, but moving the mouse shows that the window actually works, since it highlights different tracks). When I boot up the template and try creating a new track right away in a group of mono tracks, the first one gets directed to Master L, second and further ones don't get routed and the issue above persists. Newly created tracks don't get routed. Disconnecting from JACK/Pipewire crashes Ardour.
Steps To Reproduce | (Not sure if reproducible, since I have a lot of plugins) Create many audio/midi tracks Include many plugins with wine and native Linux lv3's Maybe play with it a bit Create a new track or a group of new tracks
Additional Information | I'm on NixOS. Use a lot of wine plugins with yabridge. Please, let me know if you need debug info or something else I can help with!

Does it work with internal backends ? Menu > Window > Audio/MIDI Setup. Audio System: ALSA Are you using JACK or pipewire and if so, which version of those? |
