That is expected behavior. GTK2 is end of life and all plugins that still require GTK2 are no longer supported. amsynth will also no longer be packaged by various GNU/Linux distros. Debian is about to remove it, and the next version of Ubuntu[Studio] 24.04 comes without any plugins that need GTK2 (amsynth, EQ10Q, calf, invada etc) See also https://discourse.ardour.org/t/ardour-8-4-calf-plugins-error-failed-to-instantiate-lv2-gui/109936/4 |
