Summary0009338: can't insert midi track since version 7.4 and git
Descriptionin ardour 7.3 everything works fine, i can insert an midi track

in ardour 7.4 and also the git version, when i try to inser a new midi track, ardour hangs and it waits (cursor changes) but i cant interact with the menues.

the loading of patches with prerecorded miditracks works also without problems.

i tried:
cd Ardour-7.4.0
rm -rf ~/.config/ardour7/
sudo rm -rf /usr/local/lib/ardour7/
sudo ./waf uninstall

sudo ./waf install

Same issue here using the ready-to-run program from
Ardour 7.4.0
Ubuntu 23.04
pipewire 0.3.65

Ardour crashes when adding a MIDI track/bus while using JACK backend.
If I select the ALSA or pulseaudio, everything works fine.

This is a bug in pipewire (that only shows up since Ardour 7.4)

It has meanwhile been fixed in pipewire, for details please see
