Summary0009335: Edit mode > Ripple All: When deleting objects, location markers move the wrong distance
DescriptionEdit mode > Ripple All: When deleting objects, location markers move the wrong distance.

Expected behaviour is for marks to move the same distance on the timeline as the time of the deleted object, but they move a much longer distance. If there is not room for the marks to move as long as they "want to", they all pile up at timeline zero.
Steps To ReproduceStart session > Record or import audio to several tracks > Add location markers on the timeline > Split audio into multiple regions > Delete one or more regions.
Additional InformationManjaro KDE, official Ardour 7.4. Using Jack2 started by QjackCtl - Version: 0.9.10 Using: Qt 6.5.0

Still reproducing this in Ardour 7.5.

However, when using Edit > Delete Range Section (instead of deleting regions with backspace), markers move the expected (correct) distance.

Still reproducing this in Ardour 8.2

Also tried deleting my profile to start "from scratch". Same result.

Steps to reproduce: Start session > Record or import audio to several tracks > Choose Edit Mode Ripple All > Add location markers on the timeline > Split audio (across tracks) into multiple regions > Delete one or more regions.

When using Edit > Delete Range Section (instead of deleting regions with backspace), markers move the expected (correct) distance.
