| Description | I did som mixing for a radio show where I used Awrite to record my faders and then I wanted to export the whole session to a wav file. But stupid old me forgot one of the fades where in Awrite mode and all others where in Aplay mode. So when the export was playing the session it rewrote that faders automation at the same time. It would be nice if Ardour would change Awrite to Aplay on the faders when going into export. | ||||

why? some people don't want that. the idea is to explicitly leave the option available to export with or without automation playback. comments please, and then i will mark this resolved. |

Yes it should be optional to export with or without automation playback. My issue was that when exporting one fader was in awrite and destroying my previously recorded automation during export. Some notification about this before exporting would be nice. |

fixed in paul's code. any track with automation in write or touch mode has that automation state reset to Off. i consider this the safest option. |

code implements "safety" switching for all automation when starting export. |
