| Description | I'm trying to trim the blank space (and "rolling!" etc) off the beginning of sessions. I hit the "region" button, dragged over one of the tracks to highlight the dead space, then held down the Shift key and clicked on the other tracks to get them highlighted to. Then I selected Edit->Delete from the menus... Crash! | ||||

Can't do a "separate region" either. A "cut" will also crash, even on a small portion of a single track. There are two takes on this project, which might matter. So each track is two (um, chunks?) with one on top and the other grayed out behind it in the edit window. |

Yup, the presence of two sets of tracks (two takes) was the cause. I destroyed the audio data from the first take (right click on each track, select Destroy from the "-1" submenu), and after that I was able to edit just fine. |

I don't know if it's still a problem - I haven't done any recording in a while. I do have a more recent Ardour build installed from when I recently rebuilt this computer, but haven't done any real work yet. |
