Summary0009043: Downloaded Program Will Not Install
DescriptionMy brand new download won't run on my new macbook pro. I verified that my download from the web site was the ARM version. After installing, I get the message:

“Ardour7” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash.

I downloaded the file at 4:50pm US Eastern time.

In looking at the file I downloaded, it has the name:

Given that the Mac is such a popular platform for music people, I'm really surprised it's not working for me. Maybe I've done something really stupid.

On my macbook, if I enter the command "uname -a" in the command window, I get:

Darwin Williams-MacBook-Pro.local 21.6.0 Darwin Kernel Version 21.6.0: Mon Aug 22 20:19:52 PDT 2022; root:xnu-8020.140.49~2/RELEASE_ARM64_T6000 arm64

Your fix worked. However, since people read from top to bottom, the important message should be placed above the download button the page, not below it. I would still consider this a bug, not in the Ardour program itself, but in the design of the download page.
