|Fixed in Version|
|Summary||0008743: Track patch selector causes unwanted program change|
|Description||The patch selector accessible by right-click on a track cannot be disabled. Sometimes this leads to a synthesiser preset being chosen when this is not wanted, as reported at https://discourse.ardour.org/t/losing-synths-patches/88370.|
A work-around is to insert a MIDI even filter plugin blocking programme changes, but it would be better if the selector only did anything after being explicitly activated.
|Steps To Reproduce||Use ZynAddSubFX for long enough and it's likely to crop up some time.|

||i experience the same problem. Is there a workaround?|
||Ardour 6.8-130-gab6d46c24c now has a checkbox in the MIDI track's context menu to disable re-playing patch changes when loading a session.|
||Nice. Tested it and it works. Thanks.|
