| Summary | 0008743: Track patch selector causes unwanted program change | ||||
| Description | The patch selector accessible by right-click on a track cannot be disabled. Sometimes this leads to a synthesiser preset being chosen when this is not wanted, as reported at https://discourse.ardour.org/t/losing-synths-patches/88370. A work-around is to insert a MIDI even filter plugin blocking programme changes, but it would be better if the selector only did anything after being explicitly activated. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Use ZynAddSubFX for long enough and it's likely to crop up some time. | ||||

i experience the same problem. Is there a workaround? |

Ardour 6.8-130-gab6d46c24c now has a checkbox in the MIDI track's context menu to disable re-playing patch changes when loading a session. |
