DescriptionRecord button + punch in/out buttons disengage under certain circumstances - when stopping or relocating the playhead. This has started happening since 6.0
Steps To ReproduceRecord button:
1. Start recording
2. Press stop (on keyboard or control surface) / relocate playhead
3. Record button and/or punch in/out disable themselves



Additional InformationPunch also disengages on loop

Do you have "Preferences > Transport > Keep record-enable engaged on stop" enabled?

Punch In/Out is exclusive to loop recording. Ardour6 makes this explicit by disabling punch when the transport loops.

Deleted config directory, record buttons now work as expected.

Ahaaa...works as expected now. May I suggest this be enabled by default? In a non-destructive session, if I hit "record" and "loop", my expectation is that it will record in a loop.
