Steps To Reproduce | Record button: 1. Start recording 2. Press stop (on keyboard or control surface) / relocate playhead 3. Record button and/or punch in/out disable themselves | ||||

Do you have "Preferences > Transport > Keep record-enable engaged on stop" enabled? Punch In/Out is exclusive to loop recording. Ardour6 makes this explicit by disabling punch when the transport loops. |

May I suggest this be enabled by default? In a non-destructive session, if I hit "record" and "loop", my expectation is that it will record in a loop. Thank you for your timely response.
