| Summary | 0000830: restore state | ||||
| Description | If I choose the restore state option after a crash the session the data is changed significantly. I have found it's safer to just save my session often and not use the restore crash data option. For advanced users it's a pain but I imaginge it would be very offputting for n00bs. My suggestion is to give more information about the restore state option in the dialog: ex. "Restore state is experimental code. It should be used only when a session has crashed while *recording* important data. It's better practice to save your edits often and reopen the saved file if you experienced a crash while editing." | ||||

what aspects of the state are different? |
|
|
also, there should only be crash data if the session crashed while the rec-enable button was on. there should be no pending data at any other time. |

This seems somewhat resolved and there wasn't any more feedback anyways. |
