originally, snap-to-region-bounds used the boundaries of all regions. however, people found this confusing - you can snap to regions that are off-screen (vertically), so it was altered to use only regions in the track in which motion is happening. please let me know if this makes things any clearer. |

It was all within a single track. Do I understand correctly that snapping to region bounds should be the union of snapping to region starts and region ends? |

It is buggy though, If the regions overlap it is not working properly and if the region is at the start of the session you can't snap to the start. |

Is this still an issue in recent versions of Ardour (2.8 or newer?) |
