Summary | 0008157: No sound from Geonkick after changing one setting in "Kit" and changing it back
Description | Ardour 6.0.9, (package `ardour-git` in AUR) Geonkick 2.1.1 (package `geonkick` from official Arch repo) I had the exact same issue in Ardour 5.12 (that's why I tried 6.0). Creating a track using Geonkick, I can make sound as expected with a MIDI keyboard just fine at first. Under "Kit" there is a setting which key should trigger the Default preset, and it's "Any" by default. If I change this to C6 and then switch back to "Any", then I can no longer produce any sound in the track by any means. (https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/693883151180890192/714915742033641582/21.Tuesday-slop9428.png) So visually the settings are exactly the same as when I started, but something must have changed under-the-hood. Steps To Reproduce | Open a new session in Ardour, Add a new MIDI track (Geonkick). It prompts some plugin setting - here I choose "16 Channels" and enable "Fan out" (I think it's the same problem no matter what these settings, but have mostly tried this setting). Make sure you can make some sound by any means. Go to "Kits", change to anything else than "Any", and then back to "Any". Try to make sound again.

I can't seem to reproduce it anymore. Maybe I was just doing something wrong. |
