Summary	0008156: Time Grid display doesn't emphasize Beats, and editing MIDI is much harder than in Ardour 5 because of that
Description	I found Ardour 6's way of displaying the time grid inferior to the way Ardour 5 did it. When I use Grid of 16ths or 32nd notes, the the beat lines are not emphasized within the bar. As a result I am spending a lot of time trying to count the lines from the start of the bar to see where are the beats. This makes me feel like I'm using the piano roll for the first time in my life. In Ardour 5 I can see the beat lines at all times, no matter what grid resolution or what zoom level I am currently using. In Ardour 6 that's not the case. I guess maybe the new design was an attempt to have a cleaner looking UI, but the functionality has greatly suffered in my opinion. Please emphasize the beats lines!

adam 2020-07-06 17:16 reporter ~0024621	In Preferences -> Appearance -> Colours "grid line minor" and "grid line micro" are the same colour, or close enough to not be discernible. It looks to me like "grid line minor" is the beat marker so you can change that to fix your problem now unfa. Do you want a PR to change the default colour?
