| Summary | 0000801: Not possible to insert multiple LADSPA effect plugins | ||||
| Description | Hello! I have problems inserting multiple plugins. One 2in/2out is fine, eg. tap stereo echo or freeverb 3. But when I try to apply them both to a track I get a message about wrong number of signal busses. If they both truly are 2/2 this should not be a problem? (I tried reporting this bug as a regular mail, sent from alcarola@kravbrev.se, please disregard that message.) Thank you very much for a great program! | ||||

Hi again! Today I noticed that 1) the one-channel mono effects work fine and 2) the source code is maybe not so hard to understand after all, so I'm recompiling with more debug statements and I will try to find the bug myself, as I can see that the developers are very busy and I really need to get this working to get our songs mixed. :> Thanks, Mikael |

Hi for the last time! :) Ok, now I noticed that the problem is that the route has only one channel but my stereo effects have two. This obviously does not bother the first effect insert but the following ones don't work, failing the ratio test in insert.cc and outputting "bad ratio" to the error stream. Can't believe I didn't see this message until now. :P Sorry for spamming. Now I won't disturb unless someone explicitely shows interest in my reports. Mikael |

please try a newer version of ardour. plugin handling has been altered quite substantially since you reported this. there are more restrictions on what is possible, but hopefully its all a bit comprehensible now. |

Hello Paul! :) I have not had problems of this kind in a long time. The only problem I have with plugins at the time is that e.g. multiband equalizer causes jack to disconnect ardour, which is claimed to be too slow. (My machine is a 500 MHz Celeron, so no wonder it's slow.) Tap equalizer, however, works fine and causes no problems. Thank you again! :) Mikael |
