I have already ported to MacOSX. It's still a little rough though. There's an older version available at http://ardour.org/ardour-beta.dmg |

Dear TAYBIN, please do explain how did you port Arodur in Mac OS X (please, as much details as you can). I am running Mac OS X 10.3.5 at PowerBook G4 (15", aluminum). Thank you, prof. DEJA VUE |

dejard - please don't distract taybin or ask him to explain this. we (and or he) will release ardour for OS X when the time and manner is right. the porting process was not simple, and we definitely do not want to spend time telling other people how to duplicate it. please understand that OS X represents a significantly different market for ardour than linux does, and we are deliberately going slowly with release plans. this might be frustrating for you, and its certainly frustrating for us, but its a function of both the possibilities and problems of an OS X release. |

Taybin and Paul - I just wanted to thank you for your work and effort, both on Ardour in general and the OS X port specifically. I can't wait for the port to be released, and know you'll do it as soon as its ready. To that end, I've made a very modest contribution (made modest more by circumstances than choice :) ), and hope other OS X users will think about doing the same. I look forward to seeing the release, just as soon as you can get it out. Best, James. |
