Summary0007317: Feedback button in the status bar
DescriptionIf the Feedback button was in the status bar (see attached mockup), that would achieve :
- more obvious feedback button (important information)
- more space for the 2 "Solo" and "Audition" buttons, hence they can use the 2 buttons per column layout used eveywhere else in the toolbar
- the feedback button (or the 3 buttons) could be like punch in/out, dark red when inactive and light up when active, reusing existing classes

(Added an "icon" version, in png and svg, based on the loop icon in the source tree)

(Added a mockup with the icon version, and with the red button class for the 3 buttons, feedback, Solo and Audition)

I don't really see the benefit of this. I think it makes sense to have the three buttons together as is, as they are all notifications.

Also, the icon looks like a refresh/reload button and it wouldn't be obvious what it is. It might cause more confusion than anything else, whereas currently if the feedback button flashes, it is very clear what is happening.

@Leatuspenguin, valid point, though the 3 buttons are not exactly notifications:
- solo is an information and also an action button
- audition is an information
- feedback is a blocking error notification
Solo and Audition are info while feedback is an error. Usually, the errors go to the log top right, so putting Feedback there makes sense.
Main benefits are:
- if you see a big red button flashing in the top right, something is wrong (clearer notification of an error)
- UI consistency / aesthetics.
I agree, the icon could be clearer, though.

Well, the Solo and Audition function as buttons to reset solo state globally and stop auditioning, so they are not purely for notifications.

I've also added a mockup but it requires a feature that doesn't exist yet and it does take up more horizontal space in the toolbar.
