This can cause problems when editing so Ardour will use Mod3 to mean Meta rather than Mod2 Loading session /home/markrobinson/mark using snapshot mark finished route resort master finished route resort master finished route resort master finished route resort master finished route resort master Gdk-ERROR **: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) serial 10006 error_code 2 request_code 45 minor_code 0 [2]+ Exit 1 ardour www:/home/markrobinson# I run debian 3.1, and the output of "ardour -v" is: Ardour/GTK 0.529.3 running with libardour 0.827.4 dpkg -i shows for ardour and gtk libraries: ardour-gtk 0.9beta19-3 libgtk1.2 1.2.10-17 ii libgtk1.2-comm 1.2.10-17 to start jackd I use: jackd -R -d alsa as root. /etc/fstab is as follows: proc /proc proc defaults 0 0 /dev/hde6 / reiserfs notail 0 1 /dev/hde7 /home reiserfs defaults 0 2 /dev/hdg1 /media/first reiserfs rw,user,noauto 0 0 /dev/hda /media/cdrom0 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0 /dev/hdc /media/cdrom1 iso9660 ro,user,noauto 0 0 /dev/hdg2 /media/second auto rw,user,noauto 0 0 tmpfs /var/tmp tmpfs defaults 0 0 tmpfs /tmp tmpfs defaults 0 0 with the two bottom lines responsible for GREATLY reducing xruns on my system. I am running a 2.6.8 kernel with preemption enabled. All other Jack applications work well. I have experimented with Ardour in the past sucessfully, but I think I was running a 2.4 kernel at the time.It was recently when playing with Muse that I realized that with Ardour, I would be in very good shape for some serious recording. Mark here, Forgot to mention that I run a dual Athlon MP w/1G ram and onboard intel8x0 sound card. |

Hey Guys, after looking at my own bug report, I began to investigate gtk issues. A google search indicated that I might be having font problems, which I was. Fixed that, and now ardour opens. Thanks guys. Mark |
