Summary0007231: Transport -> Record w/Preroll does not record with preroll when the session property "Count in before recording" is not set.
DescriptionTransport -> Record w/Preroll does not record with preroll when the session property "Count in before recording" is not set. The recording starts immediately.

This makes sense but shouldn't it be disabled (greyed out) when it is not going to work?

A user who is not aware of the session property may be confused as to why the preroll is not working.

The recording should start immediately but the playhead should be moved "NN" seconds (or bars) backwards (towards 00:00:00:00).

e.g. "Move playhead to 00:00:02:00 and record with 2 sec preroll". This is identical to starting recording from 00:00:00:00 and at rec-stop trim the region-start by 2 seconds.

This is intentional because the punch-in point may be at a transient which you may want to replace.

PS. the session property will be replaced with a transport button.

It's currently only in session Props for testing

Ah OK, then this is just my misunderstanding of the functionality. 1 sec at 120 bpm = 2 quarter note beats - hence my confusion here.

Will close now.
