| Summary | 0007205: "Playhead to next grid" goes back and forth | ||||
| Description | When using "Transport > Playhead > Playhead to next grid", It works as expected when on Beat mode, but goes back and forth when on Beat/2. Confirmed on IRC by rgareus : <rgareus> "here it works for "beat/2" but not "beats" <rgareus> zoom-factor dependent it seems <rgareus> smells like a rounding issue. pixels to BBT, BBT to px <rgareus> so you move right to next beat/2 the corresponding audio-sample (for the given bpm) is just short of that time and rounding down gets us. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Set the BPM to 120 Choose "Beat/2" as the grid unit Select Transport > Playhead > Playhead to next grid | ||||

I can reproduce this with 5.5, but using version 5.5.480 here the playhead cursor always progresses in the forwards direction when using "Playhead to next grid" and does not go back and forth at any grid or zoom setting, or at least after 5 minutes trying to reproduce. Can you please confirm this is fixed in a nightly build. Thanks. |
