| Summary | 0007107: Make it easier to create unlinked MIDI region copies | ||||
| Description | I'd love to be able to create an unlinked MIDI region copy with Ctrl+Shift drag. I find that in my workflow linked MIDI regions cause more trouble than good, I'd love to have an easy what to make unlinked copies, without having to menu-dive for every unlinked copy I need. | ||||

I agree that there should be a key modifier to explicitly make a linked/shared copy of a region, or I guess alternatively an unlinked copy (making it the opposite of the default may be confusing). Also a visual indication that a region is a linked/unlinked copy would be useful IMO. AFAICT Cubase does a normal copy with Alt and drag and a linked copy(what they call a shared copy) with Alt+Shift and drag. |
