| Description | The project is 6 minutes long, 7 tracks.When trying to open, an empty log window pops up, HD working for a bit, it loads the tracks, but when HD activity is over, the Ardour window freezes, no further graphical refresh. Response to buttons(SPACE etc.) is inexistant.This happened after a late-nights' recording and successfully saving the project.The other day it just couldn't load. Does jack give any errors when this happens? |

Jack returns many XRUNs, lots of msecs(Alsa_pcm: xrun of at least x.xxx msec) Ardour actually opens an "Ardour Log" window, but it won't even finish refreshing it!! Also, from the beginning of the installation(Synaptic) it randomly crashed, returning "Segmentation faults", and I have to save projects very often. I use JACK like this: # jackd -R -d alsa -r 44100 #Ardour gets way too crushy in 48000Khz. It did this on another project. Session file Uploaded "TheDruid.ardour".The LOG reports some Errors.Here's what it says: [ERROR]:Session XMLNode describing and AudioRegionreferences an unknown source id=5293238358392. [ERROR]:Session: Cannot create Region from XML description [ERROR]:Session"home/nang/MPrjcts/TheDruid (snapshot TheDruid)" did not load succesfully. [ERROR]:Error on transport thread request pipe. IMPORTANT NOTE: Before saving this session, the keyboard stopped functioning properly(SPACE and the "r" key didn't work, for instance), and it looked to me it would end this way, meaning it would corrupt somehow the session. |

Reminder sent to taybin Hello, I uploaded a project's session file with the same symptoms. By the way, is it possible to begin a new project, and import the soundfiles from another project, saving this way the captured stuff? Thanks in advance, Muad'Dib |

Yes, you can import files from other sessions. |

ardour 0.9beta20 contains fixes to permit session loading even if certain audio source files are missing or corrupted. please check them out and report back. |

I have upgraded to 0.9beta19. The projects load with some errors.I'll try as soon as the beta20 version becomes available. |
