Ardour version is Ardour 4.6.0
(built from revision 1:4.6~dfsg-1)
Os version: Ubuntustudio 16.04
4.6 is considered obsolete.
Check the bug in Ardour 5 and verify that it still exists, and then we will look into it.
Testing with 5.0 here does not show this bug.
Please also note that we do not provide support for Ardour builds created and distributed by Linux distributions. We cannot control their build process and distributions have routinely caused issues with Ardour due to this.
Please always test against an ardour.org build (nightly.ardour.org for the absolute current version, or ardour.org/download for the most recent release). Free demos are available which are suitable for testing.
