Summary0000691: Disabling a stereo plugin affects other plugins on the track
DescriptionI have a mono track with two outputs. The track has three pre-fader ladspa plugins in the following order:
 TAP Dynamics (M) 1 in, 1 out
TAP Equalizer 1 in, 1 out
TAP Fractal Doubler 2 in, 2 out

The channel also has a post fader send with two channels.

If all plugins are enabled, everything works fine. But, if I bypass the fractal doubler the right channel gets constantly lower volume than the left one.

By listening closely, and playing with the enabled plugins I concluded that when the doubler is bypassed, the right channel will be clean (no plugins affect it).

Ardour/GTK 0.530.0 running with libardour 0.829.0

Might be a bug in the plugins themselves. (I wrote them :))

If you could send me your exact plugin settings, I can give it a try and see if it happens for me, too.

The post-fader inserts probably have no effect on this, but you could verify that.

I was a bit lazy. I did reproduce this bug in quite a different setting, but I didn't write about it.

I did a new track where I took two plugins (not TAP plugins this time..) to a mono track. That track didn't have any sends or anything strange and I got the same effect with "Simple amplifier" and "Stereo amplifier".

So, it's not tszilagyis' fault.

Reproducing this is easy:
take a mono track with two outs and no plugins/inserts/sends.
  add 1/1 and a 2/2 plugin.
Enable the 1/1 plugin, and hear the results.

Actually. Now when I tried this again, I couldn't get the 1/1 plugin working correctly at all. (I "Simple amplifier" and "Stereo amplifier" again).

btw. tszilagyi, your plugins are very nice. Thank you.

The new tighter stream model prohibits this plugin combination. This is considered fixed.
