| Summary | 0006756: Copy midi track to new midi track. On tracks notes are the same but when played 2nd version missing some notes | ||||
| Description | Ardour-4.6.0-dbg (gcc5) Session with one 17 bar midi sequence. Connection to DM10 drum module. Selected all in track then copy. Create new midi track and paste. The two tracks look identical but when playing the copy, after changing the midi connections in jackd, some drum notes do not play. | ||||

| Additional Information | Started a new session and imported midi track from /interchange/Song/midifiles. Play the track. The same drum notes are missing but the missing notes are played on Reasonable synth. Clicking Chns on the track and changing Playback to channel 10 only(drum module channel) and it's missing notes again. To verify I changed Playback to all and R-synth plays the missing notes again. At this point though the drum note events that aren't playing, have changed colour from yellow to black on the track. Tried duplicate track which worked until I changed midi channel, then dropped notes happened again. Attaching original and copy .mid files if needed. I ran Ardour4 -D all on the new session. Let me know if you want that file, it's large, or which -D options to use. Thanks | ||||

Further testing with new material and it now works as expected. Could be user error but if it is, I don't what I did to cause it. |
