| Summary | 0006662: Crash when touching Master Fader on Mackie MCU | ||||
| Description | After setting up and connecting Ardour with Mackie MCU + one Extender, Ardour crashes when the Master Fader is touched. This only happens with the preferences setup: "One Extender and Mackie Control" i.e. when the Extender is left of the Main Mackie MCU and the Extender is connected to Ardour's Mackie Control in/out 0000001, the Main MCU is connected to Ardour's Mackie Control #2. Other faders and transport controls work without crashing. Crash is immediate when the Master Fader is touched. Ardour doesn't crash if the Main Unit and the Extender Unit are switched and "Mackie Control with One Extender" is selected in the prefs. One Extender and Mackie Control | ||||

I remember fixing this a while ago. There has been a lot of work on the MCP code since 4.2. Try the nightly download (demo if needed). For what it is worth, touch on the master channel does not crash here. (4.4.179) Let me know if the nightly still has this trouble. |

The bug isn't present on Ardour 4.4, so I close the thread... |
