| Summary | 0000664: Inserts with configured latency | ||||
| Description | It would be nice that inserts could be configured with a latency time. It would be very handy when used with outboard effects. The configuration could be in ms, but I would say the best option would be to supply how many D/A A/D conversions the signal goes thru JACK. Jack metadata could be used to calculate how long the latency will be, this would also work with different jack configurations. It would also be great to have a selectable +/- 1024 samples or +/- 5 ms for fine tuning (some outboard is "slower" than others...). | ||||

this is a JACK feature. we hope to add a way to tell JACK what port latency and systemic latency is in general. once this is done, all JACK apps will see the correct values. please refile in mantis for JACK. |
