| Description | Ardour v4.2-259 (nighly build of 2015-09-15) I found an issue with the control surface system. When you change device profile in Preferences > Control Protocol Options, you have to save and restart Ardour to have any extender's "mackie control" connections listed (in connections manager as well as jack's midi connections). There is only 1 showing, until you quit & reopen Ardour. | ||||

After changing all the device files to be fully populated. This generally works going from any single device to multiple devices. However, changing the location of the master device looses some ports. Most of the time, going back to single and then to new multi-device works. |

Hmm, More observations. It seems whichever device is master does not close it's MIDI port and when it tries to open with the same name it fails (jack says port already in use). So going from single to multi always works or multi to single. From multi to multi will fail and from single to single fails. I wonder if we can change the name of the old master port to "unused" or "tmp" or "" till it goes away on it's own. |
