Summary0006539: Recording is out-of-sync when recording.
DescriptionWhen recording audio the timing if out-of-sync.
The issue can be reproduced using the metronome but also applies to audio input.

- Create new project.
- Create audio track.
- Connect metronome to input of the audio track
- Record

Now the recorded metronome is visibly out of sync with the drawn beat lines.

Sadly jack1 has a bit of a problem. see http://lists.linuxaudio.org/pipermail/linux-audio-dev/2015-August/036032.html jack2 as well as Ardour's ALSA backend are fine here.

In any case a complete closed loop is the way you want to test:

Ardour Click out --> system:playback

--soundcard--> physical patch cable --soundcard -->

system:capture --> ardour track

Handled on IRC. The issue at hand was ambiguous latency for some ports.
Here: Click-track was routed to both: system-output and directly back to an ardour track.

Ardour should probably report such cases to the user.
