| Description | Details are hard on this one because I wasn't the operator when it happened. As near as I can determine, he tried to use the "zoom" function (I don't even know what that is at this point) and ardour seg faulted and exited. the major part of this problem is the session can now not be opened. the .ardour file doesn't seem to have weird corrupt-like characters - when I attempt to open it, it seg faults and exits, and gives 4 of the same error message about gtk_canvas or something...more later on today when I can recreate this again... | ||||

i believe this is probably fixed post-beta16. please try a newer version and report back. thanks. |

k will do - question is - how do I recover the session? and number 2 detail is I've since had other sessions to that - but I used the zoom and didn't have that happen on one, and on one, the session now seg faults like that but I never touched zoom - I have no idea what happened on that one, it just seg faults upon opening...I sent the detailed error message to ardour-user and ardour-dev - I can get it again but it's not this computer so I'll have to change rooms, etc. |

question about recovering session answered (duh) - I updated to beta18-r2 and was able to open the sessions in question - at least so far. |
