Summary0006447: Sample Rate selector on Audio Midi Setup dialog does not work correctly with some interfaces
Description"Just got Mixbus3 setup on a Win7 machine with an RME HDSP/MultifaceI. Everything works great... as long as I want to work in 44.1 kHz. I change the frequency in the HDSP settings window and watch it when I open Mixbus3 and start a brand new project. Only the 44.1 option is available in Mixbus3 and when I open the new file, the sample dialog in the HDSP settings is automatically changed to 44.1 and then greyed out so I can't change it anymore."

Apparently some amount of fiddling with the dialog and selecting different devices and then coming back to the desired device will allow you to pick the correct sample rate.

"I also have to do a little dance to get mixbus to latch on to 48k. It wants to stay on 44.1. To get it to work, I have to click Device control panel to make my interface "active" change it to 48k, click calibrate audio, then "ignore results." And it will latch to 48k. (Using ASIO audio system, btw). "

" If I switch the driver and device settings to Dummy or None and then back to ASIO/HDSP, all of a sudden I can change the Sample Rate. But when the dialog first comes up the Sample Rate is greyed out and can't be changed -- and sometimes it seems to have changed back to 44.1 from 48 by itself. "

I just tested with Mixbus interim release 1970(32-bit), HDSP/Multiface and the Portaudio driver on windows 7 and this issue seems to be resolved. With the engine stopped you can try to start the driver with any samplerate(but it will only start successfully with a rate the device supports). Starts successfully with samplerates 44.1k, 48k and 96k and is reflected in the ASIO control dialog for the device.
