| Summary | 0006219: Plugin send faders unexpectedly reappear when reordering plugins | ||||
| Description | Ardour 3.5.4587: Issue: Hidden send faders reappear when a plugin is moved. Reproduce: 1) Add one or more sends to a mixer input channel. 2) Hide the individual little horizontal fader(s): right click on send, click Controls, click Hide All Controls. Fader disappears as expected. 3) Drag any plugin in the channel anywhere (even back to its starting point). Fader controls reappear for all sends in the channel. | ||||

fixed in Ardour 3.5-4856-gb34f26a. send-fader in processor box retains its visibility state also across session save/reload. |

(Sorry if this response is in the "wrong" place -- I'm not sure how version control works on nightly builds.) I've tested session save/reload on nightly build 3.5-4877, Linux 64-bit (which I assume includes the 3.5-4856 send fader visibility resolution): Send faders in process box are ALL visible on reload, regardless of their individual state at save. The behavior that I would prefer is that they retain their visibility state across a save/reload sequence. |

Update! Testing Error! Sorry, but I mistakenly started an older version of Ardour (3.5.403) for reloading a 4877 session, leading to the reappearance of send faders which had been hidden. When I loaded the session with the more current Ardour version, the send faders were set to their appropriate hidden or visible status. I didn't know whether or not to delete my previous comment (0016503). Administrator, feel free to delete that comment and this one or direct me to do so. Thanks for your work on this wonderful and improving product! |
