| Description | "Recent" goes for "<session-dir>.ardour" but the session could have been renamed and so the session file isn't found. I think "Recent" shouldn't be smart here. It should just go for the actual file people were saving to. | ||||

It still wouldn't find it if you renamed the session directory. |

Sessions don't have '.ardour' appended on them anymore. If the session doesn't exist or was moved, it doesn't show up in the Recent list. What do you think it should do? |

I think .ardour/recent should contain the actual filename of the latest sessions -- not just the path/to/sessiondir/ -- and ardour should not make unnecessary assumptions on the name of the sessionfile. While collaborating with someone (having identical sound material) and wanting to try his sessionfile the current "Recent" mechanism wouldn't be able to open his specifically named sessionfile. (ardour's assumption that the requested sessionfile sits in a dir along with ardour's infrastructure is ok -- although not in the long run with sounds possibly sitting somewhere on the net etc.) |

That would be a fundemental redoing of the recent dialog. So I'm going to mark this post-1.0. |
