Summary0006164: MIDI stretch causes loss of data
DescriptionThis problem occurs in current git as of 9/2/15, running on Ubuntu 14.10. I am not sure of the exact revision that introduced it.

Recipe to reproduce:

1. Create a new session.
2. Create a MIDI track (doesn’t matter what instrument, if any).
3. Enter some note data (anything) into this track.
4. Use the Stretch tool to time stretch this out a couple of bars.
5. Save the file and reload it.
6. Ardour will report being unable to find the file ‘[track name]-*.wav’. This is immediately suspicious since there are no audio tracks in the session.
7. Opt to skip loading missing files.
8. The stretched MIDI region will appear, minus any note data.
Additional InformationThis is not a crash, as Ardour still starts and runs.

The exact length of time the MIDI is stretched for does not seem to matter.

It only seems to happen when using the stretch tool for stretching MIDI regions. I can’t get it to happen when moving and stretching notes in Internal Edit mode.
